This place was probably built in the 70s and it looks as if nothing has changed, LOVE it. Even the faded posters of various Greek vistas, although I have never seen a new one so maybe they all look like that sold new? Or more likely those posters were only sold in the 70s. Who cares, I love them. Great little diner with a solid menu made with the hospitality you expect from a family place. I ordered the stuffed peppers and they were excellent and the side cucumber salad was delicious. I've heard the breakfast here is epic to boot. It would have been nice to see a few more Greek dishes on the menu but the quality of this establishment is what is important here. You come here to eat and you feel like family, well worth it.

Ugh!! I don't know what to say except that nothing was burnt and yet everything tasted like a burnt pan. The service was fast and friendly though, so I have to give it some credit. Maybe breakfast just isn't their thing.

Only went there once, a friend said to try it. Not very impressed with the place. What I thought me & my husband ordered should be quick to make turned out to take quite a while to get to the table. The place wasn't that busy. I can't explain what took so long for the food. I will not return at all.

I visited Penny's today for breakfast after an eight year hiatus. A friend suggested a quick breakfast, and I wanted to be open-minded and fair, plus he was more hungry than I so we stopped here. I remember now why I shied away from this place, preferring to go to the Olympic diner instead which has a true diner experience and more palatable breakfast food. I ordered a side of scrapple well done, which was good, and hot, and tasty. I also ordered a side of a toasted English muffin, which came out cold. To top that: I asked the teenager who was the only person to give me attention in a room of 22 patrons, if I could have a packet of orange marmalade and he explains that grape jelly was all that they had. Only grape. Really? Our waitress was hardly in the weeds, and actually zipped around as though she were busy but I have no idea what she was doing. Clearly she wasn't refilling our tiny water glasses, which I found annoying. For $12.95, a simple breakfast between two people was okay, but as I stated earlier, when I want diner food in Clifton Heights, I go to the Olympic. At least the waitstaff is attentive there, and the atmosphere isn't ungodly loud and unwelcoming. I find nothing special about Penny's. I guess the locals like it, but for me, I think I'll pass. Try the Olympic, or Penn Pines Diner, which are equidistant from Penny's and well worth the mile trip in either direction.

I'll definitely keep going to Olympic over this place. The food was so-so (I think I'm being generous), and the service was odd. (Really the only way I can describe it). Not to mention it smells like an old folks home... not very appetizing.

This place delivered a solid breakfast... Nothing original here, but exactly what you'd expect from a small family diner. The service was very pleasant, coffee was always refilled quickly and the meal was inexpensive.

Penny's gets my money because they accept plastic. The breakfast is very tasty, I usually go for the French toast with bacon. The hash browns are delicious. So why the three star rating - the service it's very slow. You are a diner waitress please check on your customers, fill their coffee, see if they are OK while waiting. 6 tables were seated and it took 20 minutes for breakfast when we were only ones not eating. It shouldn't be that long. Guess I was in a rush.

I would actually like to give it 4 stars. But my wife was not as much of a fan as I was. So it gets 3. I loved my breakfast. The bacon omelette was well prepared. The orange juice was just the way I like it, and the coffee was fresh. That's all I ask. But the wife was not excited by her veggie egg white omelette. Maybe that's because it was a veggie egg white omelette in the first place.

Good food, solid breakfast fare. Very friendly personable service. I think many of the staff are family, but they really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Certainly one of my local favorites. I've only been to breakfast, but look forward to trying lunch and dinner there.

Cute Greek diner in Clifton Heights. Most diners give you huge messy portions of food, but Penny's is a little different. They have a smaller menu and smaller portions, but the quality is definitely better than other diners in the area. It's usually packed on Sunday mornings for breakfast and brunch, but it's worth the wait. Solid four stars.

If you want simple food for cheap prices served by smart-mouthed but charming old ladies, go here. We were seated quickly, served quickly and enjoyed our meal. The owner was super friendly and made sure everyone was doing well. On our way out, I spied the crane machine and took my chances - I won an adorable triceratops. I'm going back for another dino, I mean, meal.

Awesome French Toast! I give it a stack of 5 pieces of French Toast. I'm a connoisseur for French Toast and they have the best in Clifton Heights !!
